Lincoln is the third of Google's three named Nebraska data center communities, alongside Papillion and Omaha, together anchoring more than $15 billion in cumulative company investment in the state since 2019. Google grouped a further $1.2 billion in new Nebraska investment across all three sites in a 2023 announcement, without breaking out a Lincoln-specific figure. As with the other two Nebraska sites, power sourcing draws in part on the High Banks Wind Energy Center (delivering capacity since December 2023 via an agreement with utility OPPD) and a 420 MW solar array with 680 MWh of battery storage under development in Pierce County, targeted for 2027. Google's public materials do not give an opening date, power-capacity figure, building count or floor area specific to the Lincoln campus; the company describes its Nebraska presence primarily at the state and three-city level rather than facility by facility.

  • One of three Google NE sites (with Papillion, Omaha)
  • Part of $15B+ cumulative Nebraska investment since 2019; $1.2B new investment (2023) across all three sites
  • High Banks Wind Energy Center capacity since Dec 2023
  • Pierce County 420MW solar + 680MWh battery project targeted 2027
  • No opening date, MW, building count or floor area published specific to Lincoln
