Google West Memphis

West Memphis, in Crittenden County on the Arkansas side of the Memphis metro area, is the site of Google's first Arkansas data center, part of a $4 billion investment the company has committed through 2027. Google is working with utility Entergy on a new 600 megawatt solar project to add generation to the local grid, alongside programs aimed at reducing the campus's power draw during peak-demand hours. The company has set up a $25 million Energy Impact Fund targeting Crittenden County and surrounding areas for energy efficiency and affordability programs, and it has partnered with the Arkansas Department of Commerce to offer no-cost Google AI courses and Career Certificates, with an initial rollout at the University of Arkansas and Arkansas State University.
