CMC Telecom built Tan Thuan Data Center as the flagship of its ambition to make Vietnam a 'digital hub' for the Asia-Pacific region, opening the facility in April 2022 inside the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in Ho Chi Minh City's District 7, within the CMC Creative Space complex. The building offers 10,000 sqm of floor space and 1,200 racks, with power available up to 20 kW per rack — high density by Vietnamese standards at launch. It was one of the first two data centers in Vietnam to achieve Uptime Tier III certification and the first to hold both the Design Documentation and Constructed Facility certificates, alongside Vietnam-first PCI DSS and TVRA (Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment) credentials. Operated on a strictly carrier-neutral model, the site provides direct connections to AWS, Google and Microsoft Azure. Its customer base centers on banks, financial institutions, OTT platforms, cloud providers and enterprises that need certified, payment-grade colocation in southern Vietnam without being tied to a single telecom operator's network.
