Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) received an investment registration certificate on July 21, 2026 for SGI-HCM Campus, a roughly $2.1 billion AI data center project developed with Accelerated Infrastructure Capital (AIC) and VietinBank on a 10-hectare site inside Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi district, Ho Chi Minh City. At full build-out the campus is designed for 200 MW of IT load and up to 100,000 GPUs; the first phase, a 50 MW AI computing facility, is targeted to come online by the end of 2027, with phase-one capital disbursement due by Q1 2027. The site sits near two 500 kV substations — one about 2 km away, another under construction roughly 5 km distant — feeding directly off a national high-voltage transmission line that runs through the industrial park. Ho Chi Minh City's People's Committee set up a 15-member task force in December 2025 to fast-track permitting. Cooling technology and specific hyperscale tenants had not been disclosed as of groundbreaking.
