</a>STT VNG Ho Chi Minh City 2 is the second facility built by the joint venture that ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) formed with Vietnamese internet group VNG Corporation to develop and operate data centers in Vietnam. The new building sits about 1.5 km from the JV's existing STT VNG Ho Chi Minh City 1 facility, within the same Tan Thuan cluster in Ho Chi Minh City, and is designed for up to 60 MW of IT load — roughly six times the 9.6 MW capacity of the first facility. STT VNG HCMC 1, which holds ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018 and PCI DSS certification, already operates as one of the city's first carrier-neutral connectivity hubs, with direct access to major domestic telecom operators and cloud on-ramps; STT GDC and VNG intend the second building to extend that role at hyperscale. The Tan Thuan site benefits from nearby substations and the HCMC Outer Zone Expressway. Neither partner has published a target completion date for STT VNG HCMC 2 beyond describing it as the next phase of the joint venture's build-out.
