</a>A consortium of Saigon Technology and Telecommunications JSC (SAIGONTEL), World Harmony Co. and SAIF Eagle II Investment Co. submitted a letter of intent at the end of August 2026 to build an AI-focused data center complex on about 20 hectares at Nam Tân Tập Industrial Park, in Tân Tập commune — territory that became part of the enlarged Tây Ninh province after Long An and Tây Ninh merged in mid-2025. The proposal sets first-phase investment at US$3.5 billion for 100 MW of IT capacity, with the consortium describing a total planned capacity of up to 200 MW that would rank among Vietnam's largest data center campuses by capacity if fully built. The LOI is a preliminary step: the group still needs to finalize a power-supply plan with provincial authorities and the power sector, and complete the project dossier before investment-policy approval procedures can proceed under Vietnamese regulations. Subject to those approvals, the consortium is targeting groundbreaking in the fourth quarter of 2026 with commercial operation proposed for 2027, part of a broader wave of AI data center investment proposals across southern Vietnam.
