DC-1 is the first facility of Firebird, a US-registered AI cloud company operating in Armenia, and it changed the scale of the Armenian market in a single step. The operator states the site runs 6,144 liquid-cooled NVIDIA B200 GPUs across 15 MW; it was inaugurated in Hrazdan on 8 August 2026 with the Armenian prime minister, NVIDIA and Kazakh government representatives present, roughly six months after ground was broken. The build follows the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory reference design with Spectrum-X Ethernet networking, Dell PowerEdge servers, Schneider Electric power equipment and Vertiv chilled-water cooling with TrimCooler heat rejection. Firebird describes its power strategy as anchored in Armenian hydro and nuclear generation plus planned solar and storage. Perplexity is named as an early customer, and compute is reserved for Armenian universities and state-supported research under a government agreement. Buyers should read the numbers carefully: 15 MW and 6,144 GPUs describe what exists today, while the widely quoted 300 MW and 70,000-plus GPUs are a 2027 roadmap across three phases, not installed capacity. The Armenian Ministry of High-Tech Industry has separately described the opening phase as more than 6,000 Blackwell GPUs at 18 MW, and neither figure has been reconciled publicly.
