Equinix SP4 IBX

SP4 sits in the Tamboré Business Park in Barueri, part of the greater São Paulo metropolitan area, and is Equinix's flagship building in its six-site São Paulo cluster (alongside SP1, SP2, SP3, SP5x and SP6). The operator markets it as home to the most important internet exchange point in Latin America, making it a primary interconnection point for Brazilian and regional network traffic. The building is a two-story concrete-block structure over a steel frame, with dual voltage power distribution (120V/208V and 220V/380V) to serve both North American and Brazilian equipment standards. Electrical infrastructure runs N+1 on both UPS and generator lines, with generator autonomy rated at 30 hours or more at full load, and cooling redundancy is N+1. Minimum cabinet density is set at 6kVA. As with most Equinix IBX sites, the company does not disclose a total facility power rating or floor area for SP4, limiting published figures to the technical-specification fields above. Tamboré is an established data center and business-park corridor west of central São Paulo, also hosting facilities from other colocation operators drawn by the area's fiber density and grid capacity.
