Tecto TFOR3 (Mega Lobster)

Mega Lobster is Tecto Data Centers' third and largest facility in Fortaleza, built on Praia do Futuro next to the company's original cable landing station and its earlier Big Lobster building. Inaugurated in October 2025 after roughly 12 months of construction, the site covers 13,000 sqm across ten data halls of about 300 sqm each, designed for up to 1,000 racks and 20 MW of total capacity; the first phase energized around 4 MW, with further modules to be activated as contracted demand grows toward the 20 MW design target by December 2029. Tecto describes the facility as carrier-neutral, running on 100% renewable energy with a closed-loop cooling system that avoids continuous water withdrawal. Brazil's development bank BNDES and the Ministry of Communications committed R$233.46 million — about 40% of the R$550 million total project cost — through the Fust telecom-universalization fund and the BNDES Finem credit line, part of parent company V.tal's broader push to expand Brazilian data-center capacity. Fortaleza's dense cluster of transatlantic submarine cables, including the planned Synapse cable to the United States, positions Mega Lobster as an international gateway serving hyperscale, cloud and content-delivery tenants across Latin America.
