Ascenty Santiago 1

Santiago 1 is the first of three Ascenty data centers built in the Chilean capital, part of the operator's post-2018 expansion beyond Brazil under Digital Realty ownership. The site has a rated power capacity of 10 MW across 7,000 sqm of gross data center space and roughly 1,100 racks. Electrical infrastructure follows Ascenty's standard tri-bus design — three independent power lines feeding each data hall, backed by generators and static UPS in N+1 configuration with a stated UPS capacity of 20,529 kVA — plus dual diesel tanks rated for 48 hours of autonomy without refueling. Cooling runs on a dual-coil chilled-water plant with N+1 redundancy and isolated technical corridors for maintenance access. The precast-concrete-and-steel building is rated for Seismic Zone 4 and a maximum floor load of 1,833 kg/m², reflecting Chile's earthquake-design requirements. Ascenty lists ISO 27001, PCI-DSS and SOC 1/2/3 Type II compliance for the site, and markets it as carrier-neutral with a direct connection to PIX Chile, the country's internet exchange.
