</a>CGN3 is plusserver's data center in Cologne, one of four company-owned facilities the German cloud and hosting provider operates in Germany alongside two sites in Hamburg and one in Düsseldorf. Built in 2006/2007 with reinforced-concrete exterior walls and F90 fire-rated interior partitions, the building holds 2,500 m² of total technical area, including three server rooms of 550 m² each with stated capacity for around 18,000 servers. Cooling is provided by (2N)-redundant circulating air units backed by 3,000 kW of outdoor heat exchangers, giving 2 MW of cooling capacity, while power comes from a dedicated 10 kV substation feed through 2.0-2.5 MVA emergency generators with 4,000-7,000 liter fuel tanks. The site carries a 2,400 kW N+1 UPS system with a stated 12-minute battery hold time and is described by plusserver as an ISO/IEC 27001-certified, carrier-neutral colocation facility offered alongside the company's cloud and managed-hosting products.
