Equinix FR2

FR2, at Kruppstrasse 121-127 in Frankfurt, is the largest of Equinix's standalone Frankfurt facilities by floor space, spanning roughly 29,400 sqm of colocation space in a reinforced-concrete, steel-clad building rated for elevation above the 500-year flood line. The site runs N+1 UPS and generator redundancy with at least 30 hours of autonomy at full load, and is one of several Frankfurt IBXs to carry an explicit direct-to-chip liquid-cooling offering alongside a listed High-Density Cooling product, positioning it for GPU and other high-density colocation rather than only traditional air-cooled racks. Equinix's own copy frames FR2 around banking, commerce and telecom tenants, consistent with Frankfurt's role as a major European financial and interconnection hub alongside DE-CIX. Published certifications include the Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact, Cyber Essentials, EU Code of Conduct, a set of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 22301, 27001, 45001, 50001), PCI DSS, SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, TISAX and TSI/EN50600. As with the rest of the German portfolio, Equinix does not publish a site power capacity in MW, only qualitative redundancy tiers and sustainability features such as green facade, EV chargers and free cooling.
