AWS Bharat Future City Data Center

AWS broke ground in July 2026 on a new data center development in Bharat Future City, an emerging technology and digital-infrastructure hub in Telangana, with state Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attending the ceremony. The project spans roughly 202 acres in Bharat Future City plus an additional 98 acres at nearby Chandanvelly, expanding the existing AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) Region rather than opening a new one. It sits inside a state investment commitment AWS made to Telangana worth roughly ₹60,000 crore, itself part of Amazon's broader pledge to invest more than $21 billion in Indian cloud and AI infrastructure between 2026 and 2030 — on top of the $1.3 billion-plus AWS had already put into the Hyderabad region by the end of 2025. AWS has not disclosed building count, IT load or a completion date for the new parcels; construction is proceeding in phases, with the first phase targeted for completion within roughly two years and the remainder phased over the following decade. The wider investment package also covers added AWS capacity in Mumbai, the company's other Indian region.
