TCS HyperVault AI Data Center Campus

Tata Consultancy Services announced on September 5, 2026 that its newly formed unit, HyperVault AI Data Center, has secured 264 acres in Hyderabad, Telangana for an AI infrastructure campus planned to scale up to 1 GW of capacity, backed by an investment of up to ₹70,000 crore (roughly $7.4 billion) from HyperVault and strategic partner TPG. TCS frames the project as the infrastructure layer of its broader 'Infrastructure-to-Intelligence' strategy, aimed at frontier AI labs and hyperscalers that need large blocks of high-density GPU capacity rather than conventional enterprise colocation. The campus is designed around direct-to-chip liquid cooling and high rack-density halls to support GPU training and inference clusters, and TCS says it will pursue green power sourcing and a water-neutral design given Hyderabad's water constraints. Build-out is explicitly phased, timed to customer demand and GPU technology cycles rather than a fixed delivery date, and no first-phase capacity or completion year has been published. If realized at full scale, the campus would rank among the largest single AI data center developments announced in India to date, alongside rival announcements from Reliance-Meta in Gujarat and other hyperscalers targeting Telangana and neighboring states.
