Digital Edge announced on January 28, 2026 a US$4.5 billion investment to build the CGK Campus, an AI-ready hyperscale data center site at the GIIC Industrial Estate in Bekasi, roughly 40 km from the operator's existing downtown EDGE1 and EDGE2 facilities in central Jakarta. The campus is designed for 500 MW of IT capacity with headroom to scale to 1 GW, making it one of the largest single-site data center commitments announced in Indonesia to date. Digital Edge is building the first phase across three buildings, with ready-for-service dates staggered through Q4 2026, Q1 2027 and Q2 2027. Engineering targets an annualized PUE of 1.25 using direct-to-chip liquid cooling alongside recycled-water systems and renewable energy integration, positioning the site for dense GPU deployments rather than conventional enterprise colocation. Connectivity runs through Indonet, Digital Edge's wholly owned Indonesian telecom subsidiary, over fully underground fiber routes designed to improve resilience versus aerial cable common elsewhere in the market. The Bekasi site adds to a wave of hyperscale campuses forming around Greater Jakarta as operators look past land- and power-constrained central Jakarta for AI-scale capacity.
