Digital Edge EDGE1

EDGE1 was launched on October 22, 2021 by PT Ekagrata Data Gemilang, at the time an Indonet (PT Indointernet Tbk) subsidiary trading as EDGE DC; the company rebranded as Digital Edge Indonesia in December 2025 after becoming part of the pan-Asian Digital Edge platform. The eight-story building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, holds 6 MW of IT load across five data halls with capacity for up to 1,300 racks, and uses a dual-power (2N) configuration for redundancy. It carries an Uptime Institute Tier III Certification of Design Documents. EDGE1's downtown location was chosen for proximity to Jakarta's carrier and internet-exchange hubs, giving tenants low-latency access to the Indonesia Internet Exchange (IIX) and Digital Edge's own Edge Peering Internet Exchange (EPIX). In 2024 the operator opened a second, larger building — EDGE2 — about three kilometers away, linking the two into what Digital Edge calls a 'virtual campus' with shared carrier and exchange access; a further 500 MW hyperscale campus is under construction separately in Bekasi.
