CyrusOne's MIL2 is under development at Via Raffaele Rubattino 90 in Milan, and at a planned 54 MW of IT capacity it is the larger of the operator's two Milan sites (the other, MIL1, is a separate campus in Segrate). The single building spans three floors and 18,000 sqm of technical space. Cooling is designed around free-cooling technology tuned to ASHRAE standards with closed-loop water systems to hold down PUE and WUE. CyrusOne states the design targets BREEAM "Very Good" along with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management-system certification once operational. Sustainability commitments include more than 500 sqm of solar panels, a heat-reuse-ready design, 100% renewable electricity and an offer to hand roughly 30% of the site to the municipality. No opening date has been published for MIL2 itself, unlike MIL1's stated Q3 2027 first-phase target.
