Equinix ML5

Equinix ML5, at Via Marisa Bellisario 5 in Settimo Milanese on Milan's western outskirts, is the largest of the operator's four disclosed Milan facilities by floor space, with about 45,208 sq ft (4,200 sqm) of colocation. It is also the only Milan site in this batch to hold a TIA-942 certification, alongside LEED — both absent from the smaller ML2 and ML3 buildings — plus the standard Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact, Cyber Essentials, France's HDS health-data hosting standard, a set of ISO certifications (9001, 14001, 22301, 27001, 45001, 50001), PCI DSS and SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II. Cooling runs at N+1 redundancy, with a separate High-Density Cooling product listed for higher-density deployments, though Equinix does not disclose the underlying technology or a site power figure in MW. Sustainability features include on-site solar PV generation and a reflective roof coating, and minimum cabinet density is 5kVA with on-site EV charging. Equinix positions the site next to Via Caldera, which its own marketing describes as Milan's best-connected location, and it shares its street with the adjacent ML7x xScale facility, suggesting a shared campus focused on both retail and hyperscale capacity.
