Colt Tokyo Yoshikawa Data Centre

Colt DCS is building its Yoshikawa data center in Saitama Prefecture, roughly 26 km northeast of central Tokyo, as the first phase of a campus planned for two buildings on a 9.5-acre site. Colt has confirmed 80 MW of IT power for the first phase — the largest single capacity figure the operator has published for any site in this portfolio update — using what it describes as a "super efficient hybrid cooling" system without disclosing further technical detail. The building follows Colt's base-isolation seismic design, a standard the operator applies across its Japan portfolio given the country's earthquake exposure, and is engineered to its internal tier 3 resilient infrastructure specification rather than a third-party Uptime or TIA rating. Colt positions Yoshikawa as hyperscale and AI-oriented capacity for Greater Tokyo, a market where land close to the city center has become scarce and expensive, pushing large new builds toward satellite locations with direct access to Tokyo's fiber and power infrastructure.
