Open DC JB2 is the smaller of Open DC's two Johor Bahru facilities, a compact colocation site inside Menara Ansar in the city centre, roughly 2 km from the operator's larger JB1 building near the MSC Cyberport tower. Open DC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Extreme Broadband established in 2017, built JB2 primarily to host a second DE-CIX/JBIX internet-exchange peering node close to the Johor–Singapore Causeway, linking back to JB1 over dark fibre and DWDM for redundancy. The building holds around 2,500 sq ft of colocation space with 300 kW of active power on air cooling, a fraction of JB1's 20 MW design, reflecting its role as a peering and edge site rather than a primary hosting facility. Open DC states the same ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and PCI DSS compliance framework across both Johor Bahru buildings.
