Kasi Cloud Datacenters commissioned LOS1 at a flag-off ceremony in Lagos on 19 May 2026, presenting it as the first operational building of a campus that is planned to scale to roughly 100 MW of critical IT capacity. The site occupies about four hectares in the Maiyegun area of Lekki, a short distance from the landing stations of several subsea cable systems, which the operator highlights as a latency and interconnection advantage for in-country workloads. LOS1 is described as carrier-neutral and engineered for high-density, accelerator-based computing alongside conventional enterprise cloud. Power is planned as a hybrid of gas, solar and battery storage with a direct 132 kV grid connection and N+1 redundancy, and the operator targets a PUE of 1.6 or lower. Kasi states that the design complies with Uptime Institute Tier III standards; the company does not claim a certificate, so the listing treats this as a self-declared design target. First-phase IT capacity in megawatts has not been published, and is left empty here until the operator discloses it. Nigerian sovereign capital is among the reported investors, and the pitch is to keep a share of domestic cloud spend inside the country.
