Why prices sit where they do
Nigeria's colocation market centres on Lagos, split mainly between the newer Lekki/Eko Atlantic corridor and the older Victoria Island/Ikeja core. Africa Data Centres (Liquid Intelligent Technologies) runs the largest single building, a 20.65 MW, TIA-942 Rated-3 facility in the Eko Atlantic City free zone; Rack Centre, the market's oldest independent operator, holds a two-building Ikeja-area campus (1.5 MW LGS1, the first Uptime Tier III-certified facility in West Africa, plus a 12 MW LGS2 expansion). Equinix runs two buildings on a shared Lekki campus, the former MainOne/MDXi site, with a third under construction; Digital Realty (formerly Medallion Communications) runs four smaller buildings split between Lekki and Victoria Island; Open Access Data Centres (WIOCC) and Nxtra by Airtel Africa (a 38 MW hyperscale build under construction in Eko Atlantic) are newer entrants. MTN's Sifiso Dabengwa data centre in Ikeja is Nigeria's largest prefabricated modular facility.
