Pyeongchon 2 Center is LG Uplus's second hyperscale data center, built in Gwanyang-dong, Anyang, Gyeonggi-do, next to the original Pyeongchon Mega Center that opened in 2015. Construction started in June 2021 and the building was completed in the third quarter of 2023, adding 40,450 square meters of floor space — about six soccer fields — across nine floors above ground and three basement levels, enough for more than 100,000 servers. LG Uplus designed the site around a 154 kV grid connection and rack power delivery of up to 20 kW, configurable per tenant, and markets the power and cooling infrastructure as meeting Tier IV redundancy standards for uninterrupted operation. Cooling combines outside-air free cooling with 6.9-meter ceiling heights and upgraded wall insulation to keep server-room temperatures uniform. Together with the original Mega Center, Pyeongchon 2 forms LG Uplus's largest data center cluster and anchors the company's hyperscale colocation and AI-infrastructure business in the Seoul metropolitan area.
