STT Seoul 1 is ST Telemedia Global Data Centres' first South Korea facility, developed through a joint venture in which STT GDC holds 60% and Hyosung Heavy Industries holds 40%. The building sits in the Gasan-dong district of Geumcheon-gu, near the Gasan Digital Complex and Doksan subway station on Seoul's southwestern side, and began full commercial operations in June 2026 with up to 30 MW of IT load across roughly 40,000 sqm of gross floor area. Reliability infrastructure includes dual 22.9kV redundant utility feeds, a distributed-redundant UPS system backed by thermal energy storage, N+1 generators rated for 24-hour runtime, and seven layers of physical security. The site achieved the Uptime Institute's Tier III Certification of Design Documents and LEED Gold certification, and STT GDC targets a PUE below 1.3. An earlier 2022 announcement described a second Gasan-dong project with a near-identical footprint and the same Hyosung joint-venture structure; STT GDC's current South Korea locations page lists only this single facility, suggesting the 2022 plan was consolidated into STT Seoul 1 rather than becoming a separate site.
