Informatics Data Center

Informatics Ltd, a Trinidadian IT company, built this data center in Charlieville in central Trinidad and commissioned it in June 2015 as a dedicated colocation facility rather than an internal computer room. Digicel Trinidad & Tobago took up the whole of Phase 1, comprising 46 racks provisioned for 0–9 kW each, as the building's anchor tenant, though Informatics owns and operates the facility itself rather than Digicel. Power comes from a 300 kW generator with dual utility feeds and a redundant Symmetra PX250 UPS, while cooling is handled by three Carrier chilled-water chillers. The operator describes the site as built to Tier 3 standards with a target of 99.98% availability under concurrent maintenance, though this is the operator's own design claim rather than an Uptime Institute certificate. The facility sits alongside TSTT's older Mausica Data Centre as one of two purpose-built colocation sites disclosed in Trinidad and Tobago, giving the country a second independent option for carrier-neutral hosting outside the state incumbent.
