Turkcell operates its flagship next-generation data center in Gebze, Kocaeli province, about 60 km from Istanbul, which the operator described as Turkey's largest data center when it opened on June 2, 2016. The site totals 33,000 square meters, including 10,000 square meters of modular white space split into 20 halls of 500 square meters each, with 30 MW of electrical capacity and seismic isolation engineered to keep the building running through a magnitude-9 earthquake. Uptime Institute has certified the facility to Tier III for design documents, constructed facility, and operational sustainability (Gold), and the building also holds LEED Gold certification. Turkcell markets colocation whitespace here to enterprise customers across banking, energy, retail, aviation, education, media and e-commerce, and the site hosts an Oracle Cloud infrastructure-as-a-service partnership alongside Turkcell's own cloud and hosting products.
