LD5, at 8 Buckingham Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate, is the largest of Equinix's London-area IBX facilities by floor space and the one most explicitly built for high-density and AI workloads. Unlike its Slough and Docklands siblings, which describe cooling only in generic terms, LD5's own facility page carries a dedicated liquid-cooling section covering direct-to-chip solutions that circulate coolant over CPUs and GPUs, alongside a listed High-Density Cooling product. The site spans roughly 16,000 sqm (172,000 sq ft) of colocation space and runs N+2 power redundancy, the highest disclosed among the London IBXs alongside LD6 and LD7. It sits within the wider Buckingham Avenue cluster next to LD4 and LD6, giving tenants Equinix Fabric connectivity into the same interconnection ecosystem that serves London's network, cloud and enterprise base. As with the rest of the UK portfolio, Equinix does not publish a power capacity figure in MW, only qualitative redundancy tiers and a shared list of ISO, PCI DSS and SOC certifications that apply across its London sites. For operators evaluating GPU or other high-density colocation in the London market, LD5 is currently the clearest published option in the Equinix estate.
