GeoCenter

GeoCenter is the flagship data center of GEOCOM Uruguay S.A., a Uruguayan IT solutions company founded in 1997. Located at Dionisio Oribe 3071 in Montevideo's La Blanqueada neighborhood, near the geographic center of the city, GEOCOM describes it as the country's first privately owned facility to receive Uptime Institute Tier III certification. The site spans more than 1,500 m² and holds capacity for over 150 racks, having grown from an original 40 m² computer room that hosted GEOCOM's first 25 Uruguayan clients. Services offered include enterprise colocation, managed hosting and disaster-recovery hosting, backed by more than 500 fully equipped contingency workstations that client companies can use to continue operations if their own offices become inaccessible. GEOCOM markets the facility to Uruguayan and regional businesses seeking third-party colocation and business-continuity infrastructure rather than building their own data centers. No power capacity in megawatts is disclosed publicly by the operator.
