EWR21 is a 215,000-square-foot (about 20,000 sqm) Digital Realty building at 2 Peekay Drive in Clifton, New Jersey, and the only facility in the operator's New York/New Jersey portfolio to carry an Uptime Institute Tier III certification — the operator states it earned certification for being concurrently maintainable. The building runs N+1 UPS and N+1 cooling redundancy, sits outside the 500-year flood plain, and draws on an onsite substation with 2N utility redundancy. Certifications extend beyond Uptime Tier III to SOC 2, SOC 3, PCI DSS, ISO 9001, 14001 and 27001, Energy Star and LEED Platinum — the highest LEED tier among Digital Realty's NY/NJ buildings. As with the rest of the metro portfolio, Digital Realty does not publish a specific IT power figure or year built for EWR21. Standard operator-wide security features apply: 24x7x365 onsite personnel, CCTV with at least 90-day retention, and biometric or photo-badge access, alongside a 100% renewable energy claim. Located in Clifton near Route 3 and the Garden State Parkway, EWR21 serves the wider Newark/Jersey City connectivity corridor alongside the operator's nearby EWR20 building.
