Equinix LA4

Equinix LA4 is a single-story, steel-frame building at 445 N Douglas St in El Segundo, close to sister facility LA3. The current facility page lists 77,263 sq ft (7,178 sqm) of colocation space and a minimum cabinet density of 6 kVA on 120V/208V or 240V/415V distribution — the highest published density among the four current LA-metro IBX suites. Published specs show N+1 power, cooling and generator redundancy, with generator autonomy of 30 hours or more at full load. LA4 is the only one of the four current LA facilities to disclose biometric access control and entrance mantraps alongside 24/7 video surveillance, and the only one certified LEED, alongside sustainability features such as free cooling, grey-water reuse for irrigation and cooling, and fuel cells. Certifications named are HECVAT, HIPAA, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 9001, LEED, NIST 800-53/FISMA High, PCI DSS, SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II. Total power capacity in MW, cabinet count and opening year are not published on the current facility page; an older, now-superseded Equinix spec sheet listed a smaller and inconsistent floor-space figure, which is not used here.
