Datacate GCDC

Datacate's GCDC facility occupies an 18,000 sq ft building at 2999 Gold Canal Drive in Rancho Cordova, a Sacramento-area location the operator markets on lower seismic risk and cheaper, more stable power than coastal California markets. The site provides roughly 5,000 sq ft of raised-floor technical space plus 7,000 sq ft of non-raised-floor space and a further 3,000 sq ft earmarked for expansion, currently supporting 1.4 MW of power capacity. Cooling runs on N+2 redundant Vertiv CRAC units paired with a 'Climate Wizard' indirect-evaporative economizer system, letting the facility lean on outside-air free cooling for much of the year in the Central Valley climate. Datacate holds SOC 2 Type I and Type II, SOC 3, HIPAA and CSA STAR attestations, positioning the facility toward healthcare, financial and other compliance-sensitive colocation tenants rather than hyperscale or AI workloads. The operator's own materials do not state a year the building opened, though third-party accounts describe it as a converted AT&T telecom point-of-presence; no independent tier certification has been published for the site.
