DataBank LAX2

LAX2 is DataBank's large-format Los Angeles facility in Vernon, an industrial city just southeast of downtown LA, and is markedly bigger than the operator's original LA site. At 32 MW critical IT load across 131,000 square feet, it holds SSAE 18, HIPAA/HITECH, PCI DSS and ISO 27001 attestations, the same compliance set as DataBank's other West Coast retail buildings. Its counterpart, LAX1, occupies space inside the One Wilshire carrier hotel in downtown LA and is far smaller at 2 MW and 18,480 square feet, reflecting the difference between an interconnection-dense carrier hotel presence and a purpose-built wholesale/retail hybrid campus. DataBank's own FAQ for the LA market cites a combined 158,897 square feet and 34 MW of critical IT load across the two buildings. The Vernon facility's onsite carrier count is not disclosed, unlike One Wilshire's dense fiber ecosystem. No specific uptime tier or cooling topology is published for LAX2, though the operator lists the same regional compliance certifications that apply across its West Coast portfolio.
