Analyst note: what moved the H100 price
Floor unchanged at Lium.io's $1.30/GPU-hr pool (not re-verified this cycle); ceiling unchanged at Azure ND96isr H100 v5 ($98.32/hr ÷ 8 = $12.29/GPU-hr), with AWS ~$6.88 and Google Cloud ~$11 below it. Typical price edged up to ~$3.49/GPU-hr (from $3.29): first-party lists show increases — Runpod Secure Cloud H100 SXM $3.99/hr (was $3.29; Community $2.69), Lambda H100 SXM $3.99-4.29, and Nebius HGX H100 raised from $3.85 to $4.50/GPU-hr effective Oct 1, 2026 — reversing part of the 2025 decline. DigitalOcean's 12-month reserved rate of $3.26/GPU-hr (last confirmed 28 Sep) is retained as the contract figure. Nov 2 refresh: GetDeploying median across 46 providers is $3.83/GPU-hr (lowest listed $1.75 PCIe, Google Cloud a3-highgpu-8g $11.07), so the median moves up from $3.49.

FAQ
Why does the H100 price range from $1.30 to $12.29?
Because the tracker covers very different sellers: marketplaces and boutique neoclouds at the bottom, hyperscalers with bundled networking, storage and support at the top. The median $3.83 is the better planning number; the minimum usually comes with capacity limits, older hosts or spot-like terms.
Is the H100 getting cheaper?
The tracked median moved from $8.00 at the first snapshot (2023-06-01) to $3.83 now, with a peak of $8.00 and a low of $1.95; the change against a year ago is +96%. Newer generations, provider capacity and inference demand drive the direction — see the analyst note above for the latest move.
What does it cost to buy an H100 instead?
Coloprice does not publish purchase prices for the H100: vendors and OEMs do not list them publicly, and quoted figures vary by volume and configuration. For a rent-versus-buy comparison use the calculator on the tools page with your own quote and the rental median $3.83.
Where can I host my own H100 servers?
In colocation facilities built for high density: current NVIDIA accelerators need liquid cooling or 40–130 kW racks, which only AI-ready halls provide. The colocation pricing pages show wholesale $/kW benchmarks by market, and the catalog marks AI-ready facilities per city.
