Brooklyn is CDC's first data centre campus in the Melbourne region, opened in 2024 as the operator's entry into Victoria after building out its Canberra and Sydney footprints. The campus's first facility, BK1, is fully operational and catering to what CDC describes as its highest-density customer demand, while the remaining buildings on the site are still under construction; CDC discloses over 350 MW of capacity for the campus once complete. No address, floor space or formal tier certification has been published for the site. Brooklyn anchors what CDC calls its second-largest region after Sydney, with a combined 780 MW+ of disclosed capacity across Brooklyn and the newer Laverton campus nearby. The site follows the same security and operating model as CDC's other Australian campuses — the highest accreditation tier under the Australian Government's Hosting Certification Framework, 24/7 on-site security and a resilience design the operator rates as 100% available — and is covered by CDC's NVIDIA DGX-Ready Data Center certification, which spans the company's entire Australian and New Zealand portfolio. Brooklyn gives CDC a Victorian base to serve government, enterprise and AI customers without relying solely on its ACT and NSW campuses.

  • First CDC campus in the Melbourne region, live since 2024
  • BK1 fully operational; remaining buildings under construction
  • 350+ MW disclosed capacity on completion
  • Anchors CDC's second-largest regional footprint (780 MW+ with Laverton)
  • Falls under CDC's NVIDIA DGX-Ready certification
