NEXTDC S1 is the operator's first Sydney data centre, in Macquarie Park, and part of a three-building campus with S2 and S3 linked by dual geodiverse managed and dark-fibre interconnects (1 Gb/s and 10 Gb/s fibre pairs). Power is N+1 with N+N rack-level options, fed by 670 kVA diesel rotary UPS units on an isolated parallel bus and a 1.5 MW Piller rotary UPS supported by Penske engines, with 24 hours of on-site fuel per engine. Cooling uses cold-aisle containment, N+1 water-cooled chillers and N+2 CRAC units per data hall.
