DayOne signed a 511 MVA (roughly 450 MW) power purchase agreement with state utility PLN's Batam unit, alongside memoranda of understanding on connectivity and electrical infrastructure, to power its second hyperscale campus on the island: Kabil Industrial Tech Park (KITP), located in the Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate. It is Indonesia's largest data center power deal to date and will be delivered in phases between 2026 and 2027. KITP sits apart from DayOne's original Nongsa Digital Park campus, giving the operator a second power and land footprint on Batam that the company describes as complementary — Nongsa brings network density and subsea cable proximity, while KITP adds scalable capacity on high-voltage industrial-estate power infrastructure. DayOne says the campus is designed to be AI-ready and able to support high-performance computing workloads from the outset. The expansion fits DayOne's broader "SIJORI" strategy of linking Singapore, Johor and Batam into a single cross-border data center corridor, positioning Batam as the power- and land-rich node serving Singapore-adjacent demand that the city-state itself can no longer accommodate. Specific building counts, floor space and cooling technology for KITP had not been published as of the PPA announcement.
