AIMS Data Centre opened its second Kuala Lumpur facility in July 2024 inside a 13-storey tower it bought in 2022 for roughly RM62 million (around US$14.8 million), a short walk from its long-standing flagship Menara AIMS on the same street, Changkat Raja Chulan. The retrofit converted a former office building into a carrier-neutral colocation facility with up to 7.5 MW of IT load and rack densities as high as 20 kW, aimed at enterprise and hyperscale tenants that have outgrown space at the original building. AIMS markets the site with a 100% infrastructure-uptime guarantee and offsets its energy use with renewable-energy certificates sourced from Sarawak Energy hydropower. The operator, a former TIME dotCom subsidiary now owned by DigitalBridge, holds ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000-1 and ISO 9001 certification across its facilities, along with a TIA-942 Rated 3 site rating and PCI DSS compliance, and states alignment with Bank Negara Malaysia's RMiT and MAS technology-risk guidelines for financial-sector tenants. Power and cooling specifics beyond the headline capacity figure are not broken out publicly.
