AIMS Kuala Lumpur (Menara AIMS)

Menara AIMS on Changkat Raja Chulan is less a conventional data centre than the interconnection heart of Malaysia: an 18-storey telecom hotel in central Kuala Lumpur where ten floors are given over to data centre space and which houses the Malaysia Internet Exchange (MyIX). Its value proposition is carrier density rather than raw power — the building has accumulated network operators, ISPs and content players over two decades, making it the default meet-me point for peering and low-latency access to Malaysian eyeball networks. Published floor plates run from about 2,500 sq ft on the ground and mezzanine levels to roughly 6,500 sq ft on levels 1–8, totalling around 58,500 sq ft (about 5,435 sqm) of data centre space. Levels 1–5 and 11 previously held ANSI/TIA-942-B Rated 3 Constructed Facility certification from EPI (awarded 2020, expired 2023). It suits carriers, CDNs and enterprises that need edge presence and dense interconnection in the KL city core, with AIMS' Cyberjaya campus handling bulk capacity.
