STO6

STO6 stands apart from Digital Realty's other five Stockholm buildings both in location and in specification. It sits at Vandagatan 3 in the Akalla area of Kista, a separate street from the Esbogatan 11 campus that houses STO1 through STO5, and at 89,500 square feet (about 8,300 sqm) it is comfortably the largest of the six — more than double the size of STO5, the next largest. Where the Esbogatan buildings run 2N UPS with N+1 cooling, STO6 runs the inverse pattern: N+1 UPS with N+2 cooling redundancy. Digital Realty markets the site for Nordic and European expansion capacity and, like its campus siblings, ties it to seawater cooling drawn from nearby Lake Mälaren that the operator says eliminates the need for mechanical cooling for more than half of the year. STO6 carries the same compliance stack as the rest of the Stockholm portfolio — SOC 2, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 — though unlike STO1 through STO5, its own facility page does not state a renewable-energy percentage.
