The sustainability plan commits to 100% renewable electricity via a power purchase agreement, caps backup generator running at 15 hours per year, and will feed waste heat into a district heating network for the surrounding community. Beyond the data halls, Colt DCS is partnering with Brunel University on an Innovation Hub offering incubator space for local digital start-ups, and the programme is expected to create over 500 permanent jobs plus a 50-apprentice training pipeline over ten years.
