LightEdge San Diego (Lightwave Data Center)

LightEdge's Lightwave Data Center at 9305 Lightwave Avenue is the larger of the operator's two San Diego facilities, originally built to support a large defense contractor before predecessor operators American Internet Services and then NFINIT ran the site; LightEdge acquired NFINIT and its San Diego portfolio in 2022. The building draws a 9.1 MW utility feed from SDG&E, backed by distributed-redundant N+1 UPS and N+3 diesel generators sized for a minimum 48-hour run time without refueling. Air cooling is delivered through an N+1 HVAC plant from a dedicated central mechanical system. Across its 80,000 square feet, LightEdge offers cabinet sizes from 12U up to 5,000-square-foot private suites for larger deployments. The San Diego portfolio, Lightwave plus the smaller Tech Center facility, carries a broad compliance stack spanning SOC 1/2/3, ISO 20000-1, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, HITRUST, HIPAA, PCI DSS and NIST SP 800-53/800-171, positioning the sites for regulated enterprise, healthcare and government-adjacent workloads on the West Coast.
