Novva Data Centers West Jordan

Novva Data Centers operates a 100-acre campus in West Jordan, part of the Salt Lake City metro, founded by a former CEO of C7 Data Centers (the SLC-market operator later acquired by DataBank). Phase 1 opened in 2023 on a 200 MW N+1 substation, with the operator publishing 120 MW of current campus power capacity and further phases (2 through 4) under construction toward a stated ultimate build-out of 175 MW, targeted for completion in 2026. Cooling is described by Novva as waterless air-cooled chillers with no water evaporation used to cool, distinguishing the site from evaporative-cooling designs common elsewhere in the industry, alongside direct-to-chip liquid cooling capability in newer phases for high-density AI racks; the operator publishes an annualized PUE of 1.18. The full build-out spans four buildings totaling about 1.5 million sq ft. Compliance attestations include SOC 1, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and PCI DSS, plus a LEED-certified design, but no Uptime Institute or TIA-942 Tier certification is published. The campus has drawn a reported $2 billion in financing from CIM Group and J.P. Morgan for continued expansion, and is positioned by the operator around AI and hyperscale workloads rather than traditional enterprise colocation.
