SYD3 is AirTrunk's third Sydney campus and, at 400+ MW of disclosed capacity, currently the largest hyperscale data centre the operator has announced across its Asia-Pacific portfolio. Built alongside sister campus SYD1 in Western Sydney, the 8.3-hectare site is being delivered across nine phases and pairs 70,000 sqm of technical data hall space with 42 data halls and roughly 9,600 sqm of office and storage area. A dedicated 132 kV onsite substation feeds the campus, which AirTrunk designs to a target PUE of 1.15 and around 80% lower water use than a conventional data centre. As with the operator's other Australian sites, SYD3 carries Certified Strategic status under the Australian Government's Hosting Certification Framework and is built to SCEC Zone 3 or higher, is carrier neutral with multiple fibre entry paths, and is backed by AirTrunk's 100% availability SLA commitment. The customer base is hyperscale cloud and AI platforms rather than retail colocation. AirTrunk has not disclosed a year-opened date, exact certification scope or current occupied capacity against the 400+ MW campus ceiling.
