Why prices sit where they do

Digital Realty (Interxion) anchors Belgium in the catalog with three disclosed facilities in Zaventem near Brussels Airport (BRU1, BRU3, BRU4) and zero published power capacity in MW. BRU4, the largest by floor space at roughly 14,800 sqm, is the newest addition to the campus and the only one of the three that the operator says hosts direct network nodes for Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud; BRU1 and BRU3 offer free connections to the BNIX internet exchange. All three carry the operator's standard ISO/SOC/PCI-DSS compliance stack, with BRU4 adding a LEED Silver rating. Independent operator Datacenter United adds a second cluster in Antwerp, where its combined ANTW1/ANTW2 site (DC Antwerp) became the first data center in Belgium certified Uptime Institute Tier IV Constructed Facility — a resilience rating the Brussels campus does not claim. Commercial electricity runs $0.251/kWh (GlobalPetrolPrices, Dec 2025), roughly mid-pack for Western Europe. Coverage remains partial — an early marker for a country the catalog has only just begun to track.
