atNorth's Copenhagen metro site sits in Ballerup, in the Danish capital's western suburbs, with its first construction phase going live in the fourth quarter of 2025. The 27,728 sqm campus is rated for 30 MW of IT power and was designed from the outset for direct liquid cooling, targeting AI and HPC tenants alongside traditional colocation, with an average rack density of 40 kW and support for racks above 100 kW. All of the site's residual heat is recycled into the local district-heating network rather than vented, a design choice atNorth has repeated across several of its Nordic campuses. The operator says the facility runs on renewable power without citing a specific percentage, and targets a PUE of 1.2 or better. As with atNorth's other sites, the company markets Ballerup as a 'Tier 3' facility in its own materials, but this is a self-description — no atNorth data center currently carries an independent Uptime Institute Tier certification.
