NewTelco Georgia Data Center

NewTelco Georgia Ltd. runs a carrier-neutral data center at A. Politkovskaia Street 5 in central Tbilisi, which opened in 2012 and is described by the operator as the first carrier-neutral facility in the Caucasus region. The company is a subsidiary of NewTelco GmbH, a Frankfurt-based network and hosting group that also operates sites in Germany and Ukraine, giving the Tbilisi facility an unusual ownership profile compared to the domestically-owned operators that otherwise dominate the Georgian market (Silknet's Silk Cloud, Cloud9, Caucasus Online). The published technical specification covers redundancy rather than an absolute power figure: A+B electrical feeds at 16/32A, an N+1 UPS configuration with up to 30 minutes of battery autonomy, and an onsite diesel generator with 24-hour fuel reserve backed by a round-the-clock refuelling contract. Cooling is handled by STULZ CRAC units in a downflow, raised-floor arrangement with hot/cold aisle separation, holding the room at roughly 22°C and 40-60% relative humidity. The operator advertises up to 99.99% availability on its dual-feed power option and describes the build as meeting international data center standards, but does not claim an Uptime Institute or TIA-942 certificate on its own site — third-party listings describe it informally as Tier III-equivalent, a characterization the operator itself does not make. No total floor area, rack count or power draw in MW is published. As one of the few foreign-owned facilities in a market otherwise served by telecom-affiliated operators, NewTelco Georgia's site is positioned mainly around carrier neutrality and international connectivity rather than raw capacity.
