Portus Data Centers Hamburg — Best data center in Hamburg, Germany 2026

Portus Data Centers' Hamburg site is the original facility of Internet Port Hamburg GmbH (IPHH), a carrier-neutral colocation operator that has run data centers at Wendenstraße 408 in Hamburg since 1996 and rebranded to Portus Data Centers in January 2026 alongside its Munich and Luxembourg sites. The campus currently comprises multiple data halls (referred to by the operator as HH2/R1, HH2/R2 and HH3/R1) with a combined 2.95 MW of critical IT load, certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and France's HDS health-data-hosting standard. Cooling uses indirect or direct free cooling depending on the hall, and access is controlled via a PIN-and-biometric separation system. At the end of 2023 the operator acquired an adjacent plot to build a new hall, HH4, now in the design phase and expected to add 12.8 MW of IT capacity; that expansion had not been constructed as of this listing. The site's customer base spans telecom carriers, technology and social-media companies, logistics and content-distribution networks.
