Iron Mountain MUM-3

MUM-3 is Iron Mountain's third and largest data center in Mumbai, under construction, with phase I scheduled to open in Q1 2028 on the operator's 5.5-acre Navi Mumbai campus next to MUM-1 and MUM-2. The operator has disclosed 85 MW of hyperscale-ready IT capacity for the building — more than six times the combined capacity of its two existing Mumbai facilities, MUM-1 (2.3 MW) and MUM-2 (6 MW) — and describes the project as establishing Mumbai as its anchor market in India. Iron Mountain entered the Indian market through its 2025 acquisition of Web Werks, which brought MUM-1, MUM-2 and five other Web Werks-built facilities in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida and Pune into the portfolio; MUM-3 is the first ground-up hyperscale project built under the Iron Mountain brand in the country. Iron Mountain's page describes 18 data halls across two towers and 129,879 sqm (1,398,014 sq ft) of building area; no street address, cooling design or certification details have been published yet. Once complete, MUM-3 would be the largest single Iron Mountain facility anywhere in the APAC region, well ahead of the operator's next-largest Asian project, the planned 42 MW two-building Chennai campus.
