DayOne CEO Jamie Khoo framed the groundbreaking as the start of a long-term commitment to the Kodaira area and to the Japanese market more broadly, which has drawn a wave of hyperscale and AI-cloud investment as operators look beyond the traditional Tokyo core and Inzai corridor for available power and land. No tenant or specific cooling technology has been disclosed for the Kodaira building, and a completion date has not been published.
