Digital Edge TYO7

TYO7 is an interconnection-focused facility under development in the Nihonbashi-Kobuna-cho district of Tokyo's Chuo ward, about a kilometer from Otemachi — Japan's central network hub — and less than 300 meters from Digital Edge's existing TYO2 building. The eight-story, purpose-built structure is designed for 2,624 square meters of colocation space across 970 cabinets at 5 kVA each, with a seismic-isolated structure and a raised first floor as flood mitigation. Planned power infrastructure includes three utility feeders from a shared substation, N+1 primary UPS (four 1,200 kVA units plus a catcher UPS), and three 4,500 kVA gas turbine generators in N+1 configuration, targeting a designed annual PUE of 1.31. Digital Edge's published specification sheet, dated November 2024, describes the building as planned with a targeted Ready-for-Service date of Q2 2025 and lists ISO 14001, 27001, 45001 and LEED Silver certifications as pending rather than obtained. The operator positions TYO7 as a natural extension for existing TYO2 customers and for carriers and enterprises expanding their Tokyo footprint.
